Parks Yes on M Logos

Logos for a ballot measure campaign are a fluid situation. As soon as a ballot measure committee has been established I first design a logo in preparation for the possible ballot measure, like this one supporting Sonoma County Parks. Then, once a ballot letter designation has been assigned, I design campaign logos using the same fonts/colors and look. Unlike commercial logos, however, there is no time/money for a brand identity guide, so I create logos in the necessary sizes on the fly, always including a logo for FaceBook, for and email banner, for various sizes of signs, etc. This involves doing things with my original logo that normal branding would abhor, but in politics it’s not about “logo integrity,” but about winning. And, I designed the underlying logo, so I get to design variations with impunity. This campaign had 6 logos for the campaign committee, and 10 logos for the campaign itself, including one sized for a billboard and a one color version for t-shirts/cups (not including Spanish and grey scale versions of both logos). Designed digitally.
